For more than 20 years, Stuart has assisted clients in preserving their legacies through estate, charitable, business continuity planning, and investment management services. He specializes in the disposition and transfer of wealth, whether in stock, real estate, large IRA, or business interest.
Stuart has worked as a strategic advisor with UBS Paine Webber, Morgan Stanley, and Smith Barney, providing planning advice to their high net worth clients. He has published articles on the preservation of assets for future generations and has been a featured speaker at educational conferences in the financial services industry.
Stuart and his wife have five children and live in Moraga, California. Stuart enjoys competing in the International 505 Class Yacht Racing Association, having won the North American Championship in 1988. He finished 9th in the 2009 SAP 505 World Championship.
With three decades working in the financial sector, John’s work with his clients mixes broad experience and special expertise in concentrated positions and employee stock options. Prior to co-founding Park Miller, he developed deep knowledge of tax-efficient diversification, and in his years at Park Miller he has focused on developing their extensive alternative asset platform.
Before transitioning to the investment management business, John traded stock options on the floor of the Philadelphia and San Francisco stock exchanges. In addition to developing his private practice around his option expertise, he served as Regional Director of Investments for Sagemark Consulting, and as Director of Investments for the Hoerner Planning Group. He has spoken on stock option and concentrated position management at industry educational conferences. He earned a B.S. in Physics and an M.A. in Astronomy from the University of Virginia, and a certificate in Financial Planning from Golden Gate University. From 2004 until 2006 he qualified as a Certified Financial Planner.
John serves on the board of two private companies. He has two grown children and lives in Campbell, California with his person Lynn. He enjoys competing at the highest levels of tournament contract bridge, having achieved Life Master at the age of 22, and also enjoys playing the piano, hiking, and riding his jet ski on the Delta.
Erol has been an attorney and financial advisor for over thirty years. His expertise includes: investment planning, retirement planning, estate planning, business succession planning, risk management, and charitable planning.
Erol started his career as a tax attorney for Dean Witter Reynolds and Cigna Financial Advisors.He has been an estate tax planning consultant to ultra-high net worth Morgan Stanley clients. He worked with MetLife’s most valued national accounts such as Oracle, KLA Tencor, Franklin Templeton, and PG&E, providing tax and financial planning workshops. His other activities have included: Adjunct Professor, Golden University MBA program; Trustee, Children’s Hospital Foundation; Children’s Hospital Legacy Advisor’s Council; and featured speaker at numerous events including: The California State Bar convention; Children’s Hospital Advanced Tax-Exempt Planning for the Professional Advisor; and Children’s Hospital Special Needs Dependents Workshop.
Erol has been active in his community with: Leadership San Ramon Valley; Boy Scouts of America; Little League; CYO Basketball; FIRST Robotics; and local jazz bands.
